How is it all going to end?

To steal a phrase our sports commentating friends state side say when confronted by something amazing, 'The Premier League title race back on? Well, what do you know?' It seems we are going to witness the greatest ending to a season in the Premier League's history. Where's your money now? Sadly for Paddy Power, their money has already changed hands, as they have already paid out their bets on Chelsea winning the title. Could it be a £500,000 mistake? (See here for full story)

It was a day that many said would determine the title race. United had the tough task of going to a high flying Man City in the most important Manchester derby of all time, whilst Chelsea played their game aginst derby rivals Tottneham. If United lost or drew and Chelsea won, surely that would be it.

For 91 minutes, that's how it looked like it would pan out. United were about to relinquish any hope of recording an historic 4th consecutive Premier Leage title until one of Sir Alex Ferguson's old guard, Paul Scholes, a man so instrumental in helping United acheive their success over the past 10 years, ghosted into the box and rose to head home Patrice Evra's cross. Again City were beaten in the last minute against United, again it was dramatic, again it gave United title hope.

All eyes then turned to White Hart Lane. How would Chelsea react to the news that United were supposedly 'back in it?' Not very well, it seemed. A penalty from Jermaine Defoe and a superb solo effort from Gareth Bale put Tottenham 2-0 up at the half. Two reckless challenges, the second standing out as clumsy, from John Terry meant he would have the watch the last 20 minutes from the dressing room. It capped a poor day for Terry who was poor throughout the game and has not been at top form in recent weeks. Fabio Capello take note; who was the best English centre half on the day?

Arsenal then felt that a victory over Wigan would give them a hope, albeit one slimmer than Victoria Beckham. 2-0 up with ten mintues to go and it seemed Arsene Wenger's men had forgotten about the pianful defeat earlier in the week to Tottenham. However during the last ten minutes, Wenger's men became boys. Wigan pulled one back, Fabianski then flapped at a cross allowing Bramble to make it 2-2 and Nzogbia sturck a long range winner beautiful enough to win any game. Arsenal are out of the hunt, Untied are back in it and it is still in Chelsea's hands. However only a fool would predict the winner now, sorry Paddy Power.
